You can accomplish anything
We often underestimate ourselves. But within us is far greater power and ability than we realize. We can do anything we put our minds to.
Master of Yoga, Dr. George King, said:
“People have within them very great powers, tremendous power—virtually the power of God. If only they will find it—and to find it is difficult because you have forgotten about it for so many previous lives. But if you will find it, this, this essence, this spark, the whole of your world, the whole of your life begins to change immediately. And you discover that you know far more than you previously realized you knew—that you have strange magic; that you surprise yourself through your own accomplishments.”
If we focus our minds on a positive goal and work hard towards that goal, we can reach it.
On the journey there, the goal posts may change a bit, and it may not be a straight line from where we are today to the finish line, but with dedication and discipline we can reach it. And it can have a transformative effect, especially if it is a spiritual goal, as Dr. King goes on:
“Accomplish, accomplish, accomplish—by hard work, by discipline, and you’ll need it, and everything will change for you.
Your work will change, your outlook on life will change, your prosperity will change, your spiritual prosperity will change, your aura will change and your karma has to change by Karmic Law.”

Some goals are little successes instead of life-altering wins.
I grew up in Michigan, which is very flat, and about 10 years ago I moved to New Zealand, which had a lot of hills.
I like to run and there was one part of my run that was uphill for almost half a mile. It was too long to run all the way up it without stopping. But for some reason I wanted to be able to run all the way up this hill.
Initially, I did not take this goal super seriously. I thought, firstly, there is no way that is ever going to happen and, secondly, there was no reason to have a goal like that anyway. It wasn’t going to help anyone else if I could run up a hill.
But I still thought I would give it a try.
The first time, I didn’t get far up before I had to stop. It was mostly a long, slow walk. But over the next year I kept trying and one day, to my surprise, I managed to run all the way to the top.
I even did a Rocky impression at the top of the hill, raising my fists in the air!
That feeling of accomplishment – of reaching a goal I never believed I could – was really impactful to me. I have much more confidence and faith in myself because of it.
Something you can try
Set yourself a goal. You don’t need to set a time limit on it, but it may help you reach it if you do.
Spiritual goals are the best, but any positive, constructive goal will do.
Really believe that you can reach this goal. Visualize yourself accomplishing it.
Have you ever had a time when you accomplished something you didn’t believe you could previously?
