When most people use the word “love,” they’re thinking of the emotional feeling. We love our family, our pets, a certain hobby and so on. 

But at a deeper level, love is also the energy we send out when we pray. When we send healing to a war-torn area for example, we are sending love energy. Using this energy as much as possible will not only help the world, but also ourselves. 

The second of “The Nine Freedoms” is Love. Mars Sector 6, the Cosmic Master who gave this teaching to the world through the yogic mediumship of Dr. George King, said:

“Manifestation of The Second Freedom will bring to Terra—Freedom from want.
“Freedom from war.
“Freedom from disease.
“Freedom from one’s lower self.
“Freedom from hate.
“Freedom from basic emotionalism.”

So love is literally a key to freedom. Dr. King, in his commentary on this said:

“These statements show why it is absolutely essential for all Metaphysical students to manifest and continually radiate pure Love. How is this manifested? Through personal purification, through understanding but even more important than these, through the continual Soul inspired charity of selfless Service to others.”
