Why are we here?

Why are we here?

It’s a question we’ve all pondered at some point.

The ancient Masters of the East talked about the “great outbreathing,” when God – or whatever you choose to call the creator – created life and the universe. We moved outwards away from Divinity.

We are now part of the “great inbreathing,” where we go through experience back to God again.

So our purpose is to gain experience to evolve. Learning the lessons which experience can teach us, helps us to evolve spiritually and return back to the Divine Source.

So what do we need to do in order to do this? In 1973, Dr. George King said:

“I’ve told you this before. Over and over and over again I’ve told you this—only one reason man is on Earth. There’re not two—there’s one. That’s to evolve.

And there’s one sure way to do it. There’s not two—there’s one. And it’s simply said. It’ll take you hundreds of lives to do, but it’s simply said: that is controlling spiritual energy. And you can start by controlling the spiritual energy within yourself and bombarding the atom, the kundalini, at the base of the spine.

Raise kundalini, manipulate it properly, and leave Earth. That’s the only reason you’re here. Not two—one. And that’s it.”

So we need to raise kundalini. How do we do that?

Spiritual practices can help us do this, but Dr. King said that the best way to advance – and have kundalini rise in a natural, unforced way – is to help others.

This way we help ourselves advance, but we also help raise the consciousness of humanity.

It’s difficult to see ourselves advancing spiritually when we can’t feel kundalini rising up through our psychic centers on a daily basis. It can seem a vast journey with no end in sight.

As the saying goes, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. But the same principle applies even when you are 300 miles in, you still just need to take that next single step.

While we may not raise kundalini tomorrow, we can feel confident that we are progressing on our spiritual path if we keep taking steps in the right direction.

Something you can try

Take a look back. Remember where you were spiritually 5, 10 or even 20 years ago. By looking back over a long period, it can be easier to see the strides you have made in your spiritual life. Small steps over the years add up to long distances.

Take a moment to feel proud of your accomplishments. Then look forward to what the next 5, 10 or 20 years can contain and think about the steps you need to take in order to reach these goals.

How do you feel about your progress over time? Let me know about your experiences.
