The truth about life after death

What happens to us when we die?
It’s a question we’ve all asked at some point. While there are various different versions of what life after death looks like, most people believe that life does carry on in some way.
But what happens to us? If there is life after death, where is it?
In a lecture on “The Spirit World” Master of Yoga, Dr. George King, said:
“The spirit realms, or the subtle realms, are not thousands of miles away from this Earth. This Earth, and all life on it, is in itself a complete unit of experience—note: a complete unit of experience—and all the classrooms of this Earth are connected to this Earth.
“If it were possible to get two perfectly made combs—you know, those things you comb your hair with—and put them together; and supposing that it were possible to make two combs that would dovetail, or fit exactly, into one another; then if you did this, the two combs would be taking up the same amount of space as a single comb would. And if you follow this little somewhat silly illustration, you can see how the spirit realms, or the subtle realms, dovetail exactly into the physical realms of Earth. Absolute, exact dovetail.”
He went on to explain that here on the physical realm we vibrate at a particular frequency.
If you are spiritually active and helping others, your vibrations will be higher. If you are living a selfish life, you will vibrate at a lower level.
When we pass on we go to the level that matches our vibrations. Dr. King then goes on to explain the different spirit realms around Earth.
After we have been on these realms for a period of time, we then reincarnate for another life on this physical realm.
“And then, after some experience, some learning, after another life on these spirit realms in whatever part of them he deserves to be, he then passes through another initiation—which is tantamount to death, in a way, on those realms. And in this transition he goes to what the Great Masters have called the Hall of Self-Judgement….
“And the higher aspect of our ordinary individual is able to judge the lower aspect of himself. And, having made this judgement—with guidance, because he’s not left alone—having made this judgement with the correct guidance, he then chooses the environmental conditions he will be reborn again onto this Earth.”

I recently lost a dear friend.
Metaphysically-speaking, I understand that she is not gone from this world forever, she’s just no longer on this physical realm. I feel sure she is in a good place, but that doesn’t mean I am not grieving.
This has reminded me that it’s OK to be sad when we lose someone. It doesn’t mean that we don’t believe that life carries on, it’s just that we miss their presence in our life.
I do feel that knowing what happens after death has brought me a lot of comfort. While I may not know what level of vibration my friend has gone to, I do know that her experience is carrying on.
Something you can try
My friend Ayub gave a wonderful presentation “What happens after we die?” In this presentation he introduced a guided meditation from Dr. King. Listen to the whole presentation or jump straight to the guided meditation.
