The most exciting time is now

Spiritually-speaking, this time, right now, is the most exciting time to be alive.

You’re probably wondering why I’m saying that with the world in the state it’s in.

But the problems of the world are an opportunity.

“Of all the history that this Earth has ever seen, today’s history, or shall we say yesterday’s history, will be the greatest. Of all the times that it’s been possible to live upon this Earth, this time will be the most exciting.

“All of you have lived before upon this Earth. Of all your numerous incarnations upon this Earth, this incarnation is the most important, because it is in these days when mankind is given the greatest, the most Divine opportunity of all…” – Dr. George King

The opportunity that we have today is to help others.

One way we can do this is through prayer

“Prayer is not an old woman’s idle amusement. Properly understood and applied, it is the most potent instrument of action.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Dr. King taught his students to pray dynamically. This means putting all your love and all your feeling into the prayer you are saying.

Anyone who prays will invoke energy to some degree or another. This applies even if the prayer doesn’t believe, or understand, that they are invoking energy – even just a positive thought for someone will do good to some degree.

But if you pray using an effective technique and consciously make yourself a channel for spiritual energy, your results will be vastly better.

The first time I came to The Aetherius Society to attend a service, I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t know how different the system of prayer they used was from what I’d done before.

I was in a group of people sitting in a circle with their hands raised, so I raised mine too.

I followed along with the prayers, but I wasn’t paying much attention to them. What I was paying attention to was what I felt in my hands.

It was unlike anything I had felt before.

It felt like there was pressure in front of them. Like the circle of people created a sort of bubble. If I moved my hands in closer, there was almost some push back.

Since it was my first time, I wasn’t even really participating, but this sensation was very real.

I came to realize that what I was feeling was prayer energy. This experience helped me realize the truth of Mahatma Gandhi’s quote above. Prayer is a very real thing, and it can even be tangibly felt.

Something you can try
Here are a couple of experiments you can try to feel the energy that is used in prayer and in healing:

Power of prayer: An experiment (Part I)

Power of prayer: An experiment (Part II)

Let me know how these experiments work for you.
