Life on the spiritual path is not always easy. 

It can be difficult balancing our necessary material life with spirituality. It can be lonely. It can just be uncomfortable.

But we are helped on our path. 

In fact, the more we prioritize our spiritual lives, the more we think and act in the right way, the more we are helped and the more “spiritual” we become.

In a message channeled through Master of Yoga Dr. George King, the Master Aetherius said:

“God is the Eternal Simple. Complications mean deviation from simplicity. What could be more wonderful than simple belief in One-ness or God, or good, call it what you like. 

Meditation upon these simple words will gradually reveal to the meditator their true meaning. Then when you act, each action will be governed by the emanations of love and kindness from your heart, and you can put into manifestation the very things which could make your world a more luminous body in the heavens. 

The more you try to do this, the greater help you will receive from the Cosmic Masters.”

He also said:

“You are not alone in your struggles—you have never been alone in your struggle for spiritual supremacy. 

We have been aware for many years of the tremendous battle now raging on Terra—a battle between basic materialism on the one hand, and spirituality and enlightenment on the other hand.”

It is easy to compartmentalize our spiritual lives. We may go to church on Sunday, or perform spiritual practices for a few minutes each morning, but really our spirituality should be a thread that runs through every aspect of our lives. 

Every thought and every action can be a spiritual one. It sounds difficult to think about controlling our every thought, but it may be as simple as acting with kindness, or helping a sad friend smile. 

The more we make our spiritual lives our priority, the more we will be helped and the easier it will become. And the more we do this, the greater help we will receive.

When I read the above quote from the Master Aetherius, I tried to think about times I have been helped. 

I looked back at the last few years and realized I have been helped a great deal.

I have gone through very difficult times, involving a lot of change and upheaval.  And I don’t know how I could have gotten through those times if I didn’t have help. 

So in my experience, the help I’ve received has been subtle. It may be a little bit of inspiration here, a boost of strength there, a little healing here, and so on. In hindsight, the help is undeniable and I feel extremely grateful for it.

Something you can try

Find a time to sit quietly and put your concentration onto this statement from the Master Aetherius:

“God is the Eternal Simple. Complications mean deviation from simplicity. What could be more wonderful than simple belief in One-ness or God, or good, call it what you like.”

Think about what this means for you personally and your relationship with other people and the world as a whole.

The more you do this, the greater the realization of oneness will dawn within you, the more you will want to act in the most spiritual way, and the more help you will therefore receive.
